1. Our standard blastgates are ruggedly constructed of cast 319 Aluminum Alloy making them incredibly strong, lightweight and rustproof. This alloy is weldable with a working temperature of 650-700 degrees F.

2. Our standard slides are made of galvanized steel in varying thickness from 20 to 12 gauge, depending on the blastgate size. Stainless steel slides are also available in any size.

3. Another Winkler Blastgates feature: the exact pipe diameter is cast into the gate housing, allowing for quick and accurate identification for use or reorder.

4. Heavy duty thumbscrews lock the slide into any position. Thumbscrew holes are tapped into each side. Additionally, all of our aluminum gates are cast in two pieces and bolted together for easy accessibility or maintenance and special installations.

5. Winkler Blastgates are available in a self-cleaning configuration, the Skeleton Gate Style allowing the user to quickly clear any accumulations from the blastgate opening.

6. Full Gates and Custom Fabricated Gates are now available with UHMW seals which greatly reduce slide leakage. For even more air control please ask about our Positive Seal Blastgates.
